Overview

BSc Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme focused on developing critical care professionals with advance thinking skills and values necessary for the practice of nursing and midwifery profession as mentioned in the National Health Policy 2003.

The programme prepares students to become responsible citizens by following a code of moral values and conduct at all times while fulfilling personal, social and professional responsibilities to respond to national objectives.

B.Sc. Nursing programme involves classroom study, projects and assignments that enable students to gain practical knowledge of their learning. After the completion of the programme, students are required to undergo a six-month internship to experience real-world clinical settings and learn from them.

*Essential Newborn care (ENBC), Faculty based Newborn Care (FBNBC), IMNCI and PLS as part of Child Health Nursing

  • *Midwifery/Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) Nursing I

Mandatory Module:

*SBA Module under OBG Nursing I/II (VI/VII Semester)

  • Community Health Nursing II
  • Nursing Research and Statistics
  • Midwifery/Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) Nursing II

Mandatory Module:

*Safe delivery app under OBG Nursing I/II (VI/VII Semester)

Internship (Intensive Practicum/ Residency Posting)

Eligibility Criteria:

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.

  • A candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (10+2).
  • A candidate belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 45% as stated above.
  • English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being
    eligible for admission to B.Sc. (N)
  • Student shall be medically fit.

Selection of the candidate is based on the merit of the NEET entrance Examination.
